One of my duties as Social Media Coordinator at the Division of Plant Industry was to maintain a WordPress blog. I enjoyed developing a content plan, researching and writing stories as well as editing the work of contributing writers. The examples of my work below show a multimedia approach to communication and traditional written material.

Any media, project or task is meaningless without intention, thought and conviction. Social media writing and content creation is an opportunity to share something worthwhile.
The best part of my experiences writing for social media have been interviewing friends and coworkers. I learned quickly that sometimes all it takes to get a good story is asking a simple question. My favorite thing to ask when hunting for a good story is to say, “what question do you wish people would ask you?”
Small Swamp is a blog I wrote about small businesses around Gainesville. As Ina Garten would say, “how fabulous is that?”
